In the middle of a 270-minute run through Blackrock Depths, Pyt finally achieved the coveted 60th season.
This was about a month ago in real time, and Pyt has effectively retired since then due to RL pressures.
Nothing happening at the moment, I just wanted to update the status so this blog does not completely dry up.

Season 59
Pyt is now in her 59th season and under assignment by some of the residents of the Plaguelands to research and rectify wrongdoings on behalf of the Redpath family.
In other news, Pyt has also dropped her skinning tradeskill and started back with enchanting. Her enchanting skill is only 50 now, but should progress rapidly once sufficient energy can be devoted to it.
Over the weekend, Pyt was able to go on a successful run into the Upper Blackrock Spire and a semi-success run through Scholomance. She is beginning to enjoy the group adventures again.
Pyt is also the proud new owner of a Mooncloth Robe that she tailored herself. Plans are also afoot to make some Runecloth Shoulders for herself and for Tyrassa.
More updates as conditions warrant.

Welcome Lyrelle
A young mage has just now ventured out on her own, and her name is Lyrelle. What adventures await her!

Pyt, Bag Maker Extraordinaire
Pyt has finally achieved a lofty goal that had evaded her grasp for a long while. She finally has a skill of 300 in Tailoring and is able to make Mooncloth bags. She has made four of them, actually. I have several screenshots for you, but those will have to wait until I have had time to edit them.
On a related note, Pyt also has learned how to make a Mooncloth Robe (although she cannot wear it yet), and will be crafting one as soon as she has enough Mooncloth.
Pyt is currently in her 56th season and questing in the Eastern Plaguelands.

Kyrael Goes Furry
Shapeshifting is always a big moment for an aspiring Druid. After accidentally wandering into a cave with monsters who killed me with every swat, and then dying 10-20 times only to get a few feet further in the cave between deaths (much to the amusement of a warrior of 55 seasons who asked "What are you doing here?" and then left me to die another dozen deaths), I finally made it back out and sought out the Great Bear Spirit, and learned how to assume the form of a bear.

Pyt, Bag Maker
While in the Un'Goro crater with her bags rapidly filling, Pyt received a call from old friend Tyrassa with a request for Runecloth bags. Eight bags, as a matter of fact.
Pyt finished off the Un'Goro Gorilla she was harvesting (for the leather), and with her bags completely filled teleported to Ironforge.
Runecloth is rare enough, but Tyrassa provided enough Runecloth for nine bags; quite a good tip. After spending most of half an hour weaving and sewing, Pyt produced the bags and was able to make one for herself as well. Pyt actually needs another four Runecloth (or better) bags for herself, but those will have to come via the Plaguelands, an area that Pyt has not frequented.
Pyt is now half way to Season 54, and has returned to Un'Goro to quest among the wild beasts.

Welcome to Kyrael
Pyt has now entered Season 53 and is questing in the Un'Goro region. She loves the gorillas and dinosaurs, as they provide great fodder for her skinning knife.
Pyt is very pleased to announce that she has finally learned Evocation, a spell which will no doubt prove very useful on many occasions. Pyt's remaining skill training will be in the area of the Arcane, learning to cast Arcane Explosion much more quickly and improving her Silence charm.
Our illustrious mage also met a very young Night Elf druid friend by the name of Kyrael, and spent a couple of hours giving her a whirlwind tour of the three Alliance cities. A slight amount of twinking was involved, on the order of three gold, three silk packs (10-slot bags), and one unassuming cloak.

Boy, am I behind
Big gap. Many reasons why.
So here's an update. Pyt was stalled at 48 for a long time, before breaking out. Pyt is now at 51, can make Mooncloth, and has finally completed ALL of an instance (Zul'Farrak). It would have been done sooner except for all of the utter asshats in the game. Seriously, they should all go play GuildWars or something.
But finally last night, Pyt found a good group and blazed through ZF without a single party death. Sure, there were a few bobbles and gaffs, but nothing unrecoverable.
Still many quests remain, however.

Gnome Party!
Grinding Scalding Whelps
With a burning in her veins for a rare pet, Pyt headed out for the Badlands to kill Scalding Whelps. She first spoke with a dwarf who gave her a quest for a Black Drake Heart, and then headed into Whelp Canyon. In know that's not really its name, but I cannot recall at the moment.
After a dozen or so kills, Pyt retrieved the item and returned it to the quest-giver. Then she headed back into the canyon to do a bit of "grinding."
By the time Pyt finally called it quits, the hour was late, she had over 100 kills, and was now into her 45th season. Still, she vowed to return, in her personal quest for the coveted Tiny Black Whelpling pet.

Enter Season 44
Well, despite abandoning her friends in the middle of the Scarlet Monastery Armory, Pyt labored long and hard to achieve her 44th season.
Pyt has been going it alone, as her former companions are shunning her for her rude behavior. She also has 75 gold in the bank after the purchase of the new Frost Bolt (8) spell, so the aquisition of her coveted mount is a mere 15 gold away.
I leave you with this shot taken on Sardor Isle of a particularly strange moon.

The Big Patch
A huge patch came out yesterday (1.3.0) with a massive amount of changes. Most of my add-ons are still working, but the number that are NOT working is enough to annoy me. Hopefully updates will be released today.
Not much to say, other than that I have started a number of alts (alternate characters) in order to play around with a few different classes. I have been running those for the past day or so, as I did not want to run Pyt within the unstable post-patch environment.

Season 42 - Description
In a series of tightly-executed Stranglethorn Vale quests, Pyt has finally achieved her 42nd season. In commemoration of this event (and to celebrate the demise of uncounted Raptors, Panthers, Tigers, Trolls, Gorillas, Pirates, etc.), I am posting some snapshots of a few recent events.

The Scarlet Monastery: The Library
The Might Band of Three ventured northward into the Tirisfal Glades in order to assault the stronghold of the Scarlet Crusade. The great hunter Commander Loksey was killed in the ensuing action, as was the famous Arcanist Doan. The group secured the Scarlet Key, allowing them access to deeper parts of the Scarlet Monastery. Unfortunately, Pyt left for Ironforge (to check on some items she had left for auction) and the group disbanded before completing their dominance over the Crusade.
Pyt, now in her 41st season, then journeyed southward into Stranglethorn Vale to fulfill her obligations there. Pyt still retains a large number of quests within Stranglethorn, enough to keep her busy for quite a while; at least until her 45th season, she fears.
She retains a strong sense of wanderlust, and the desolate plains of The Badlands call to her. Dragon Whelps and Mageweave-laden humanoids are in dire need of herd-thinning.

The Big Four-Oh
While harvesting crab legs along the coast in the Swamp of Sorrows last night, Pyt finally attained her long-awaited 40th season. After much rejoicing, Pyt collected the last of the crab legs before 'porting to Ironforge for the much-needed upgrade of some frequently-used spells. The cost was not as much as she feared, and still has 21 gold remaining. Still, it will be some time before she can earn the other 69 gold and be able to afford that coveted mount.
Plans are being made for a run through the Scarlet Monastery very soon.

Mageweave Bags
After venturing forth into the lands of Desolace, Pyt eventually returned to the eastern continent to continue questing in Stranglethorn Vale. Although Pyt has entered her 38th season, her friends (now seldom seen) are in their 40th and 41st seasons.
In the process of keeping her tailoring skills up, Pyt has made Mageweave Bags for everyone, although not everyone has a full set of four Mageweave Bags each, as the material is rare and expensive, for now. As a result of buying the materials and training on new spells, Pyt is now poor again, with very little hope of purchasing a mount upon reaching her 40th season.
There is much to do in Stranglethorn, and Pyt will probably reach her 39th season before leaving its thriving jungles. Hopefully, enough silver will follow so that she will be able to at least afford riding lessons when reaching 40.

Sightseeing
Adventuring out on her own, Pyt crossed Thoradin's Wall and journeyed forth into the Hillsbrad Foothills. After acquainting herself with some of the topography of the region, Pyt visited Southshore to deliver a message entrusted to her. Soon many of the residents were clamoring for her to perform more of the chores they had neglected. In the process of clearing the Western Strand of some wayward murlocs, Pyt reached her 34th season.
The village was soon visited by a raid from the Horde encampments to the north. Pyt did not enjoin battle, as the attackers were many and fierce, and extremely well seasoned.
Pyt then travelled north to the Dalaran Ruins, to behold a dome of great wonder. She then turned back, however, summoned to the Arathi Highlands by Pytheas. The Northfold Manor had again been overrun with bandits who were lacking in manners and were very ill-tempered to boot.
After completing this task, Pyt returned to the great halls of Ironforge for some rest and much-needed mage training. Taken quite aback at the price of the training, Pyt reluctantly handed her gold over to Bink (the gnome mage trainer) before heading to the Auction House in an attempt to reclaim some of her lost fortune.

Foray into Razorfen Kraul
Pyt awoke in the Menethil Harbor Inn to a rather odd summons.
Pytheas had been delinquent in the execution of his Warrior quests, and was summoning forth the rejoining of the Party of Three to assist him in Razorfen Kraul.
Having explored no further than Duskwood although in her 31st season, Pyt was hesitant. However, this was a chance for her to discover a bit more of the world.
Pyt hearthstoned to Duskwood before heading south into Stranglethorn Vale. This was a vastly different region, filled with a large variety of new and interesting sights. After a long hike, Pyt arrived at Booty Bay, spoke with the Griffon Master, and hopped on the next westward boat.
Upon landfall at Ratchet, Pyt headed through The Barrens south until finally arriving at Razorfen Kraul.
The Miraculous Three went inside, cutting through the Kraul like hot knives through... well, warm knives... OK, it was more like cold, dull knives attacking a particularly tough hamhock. The first part went well, but the group was slaughtered twice before calling it a night.
In the end, the trio tucked their tails between their legs and decided to do some more exploring. They headed south to Thousand Needles, east to the Shimmering Flats, then south to Tanaris, spending the night in Gadgetzan.
On the To-Do list: Finish Gnomeregan and Razorfen Kraul.

Season 25
It has been a while since my last update, and several things have been going on. I have been slammed at work, so it's hard to update this blog while working and playing and taking care of all the things life throws at me.
The Group has pretty much finished the Redridge area except for the elite quests. Lately they have been questing in The Wetlands. Pyt is now in Season 25, while Pytheas and Tyrassa are in Season 27.
On Saturday, The Group tried a run through The Deadmines. They were all about 2 seasons younger at the time. The Fearless Three were adventuring with Cira (a good friend Warlock) and some Paladin they had picked up just outside the mine. It all went very smoothly until they got to the top of the ship. The patrol was engaged... it was a fierce battle. Then IT happened.
Power loss. First, DaftApeth's PC went into hybernate mode (he is Pytheas' handler). Then the DSL modem or the router or a switch went out... leaving Cira and the Paladin alone with three very angry high-level sailors.
Cira actually survived, but apparently that was insufficient - The Deadmines reset and all was lost.
It will not be long before The Group attempts The Deadmines again... but not today. Not today.

Season 19
Pyt and Pytheas struggled in vain to coordinate their activities in recovering Bingles' tools from the Stonesplinter Islands, and both were frustrated. Ultimately, both were able to recover the tools, but they worked separately to accomplish this task.
Afterward, Pyt wandered through the Loch Modan wilderness alone, dispatching several crocolisks, bears, trogs, and flying beasties.
One encounter was particularly vexing. Pyt discovered the Mo'Grosh Stronghold and startled one of the Elite Mo'Grosh Guards patrolling the area. After a few moments of staggering under the brute's blows, Pyt realized that she was overmatched and fled, vowing to return with a few friends.
Afterward, Pyt took shelter in the nearby Fastrider Lodge. After fulfilling a quest for Daryl the Youngling and slaying a few more of the foul and unclean creatures of the area, Pyt attained her 19th season before retiring for the night.

On to Loch Modan
After returning to Westfall, Pyt and her merry band of companions caused a sever reduction in the unrest, slaying hordes of brigands and cutthroats. Only one item remains; the destruction of the Defias kingpin. This quest is such a monumental one that it must wait for another day.
After taking care of a few training tasks and selling some Leather at the Auction House, the band of three travelled to Loch Modan, where they earned the respect of the dwarven king by slaying dozens of Stonesplinter Trogs and providing some much-needed message delivery and supply delivery services.
The group has also been tasked by a gnome by the name of Bingles to retrieve some of his missing tools. Unfortunately, these tools are located on a island that is swarming with a particularly vicious breed of Trogs. So far, the bad has only been able to retrieve one of the four tools. Perhaps some friends will assist them in this endeavor.

From Westfall to Loch Modan
Pyt awakened in Stormwind city to the sounds of birds chirping and children playing. Such a peaceful beginning to a day that would later be filled with the screams and cries of Goretusks, Murlocs, and Rat Kobolds.
After travelling to Westfall and a rendezvous with Tyrassa, the Mage-Priest team dispatched a dozen Murlocs before breakfast, with only a single team fatality on the part of Tyrassa. Tyrassa has been on sabbatical as of late and is only in her twelvth season, and is not as resistant to the rigors of life in the wild.
Tyrassa gathered a few more quests as the day progressed. Pytheas returned from Blacksmithing to join us in destroying several pieces of wayward harvesting machinery, as requested by their former owner. It was not long before Pyt was able to enter her fifteenth season.
Pyt responded to a summons from the Mage trainers in Stormwind, returning to the Mage Quarter to quell an uprising among the spirits in a bar called the Blue Recluse. With this task accomplished, Pyt was tasked to Loch Modan to retrieve some Charged Rift Gems. The journey was largely uneventful and ended with a brief reconnoiter of the Silver Stream Mine. After dispatching a dozen Rat Kobolds, Pyt recognized that this task would be a bit too daunting without some assistance. Returning to the inn at Thelsamar, Pyt sent a request for help in the form of a letter to Pytheas before bedding down for the night.

UI Tweaks: QuestMinion
I am fairly happy with the status of most of my UI Tweaks. There is one in particular that I like that is unfortunately misbehaving.
QuestMinion is a very handy tool that I have been using with some success, but last night it started throwing errors whenever I received a new quest. My love for this mod and my level of frustration caused me to download documentation and IDE for Lua so that I can debug and rewrite the mod until it behaves properly.

Fourteen and Ninety
As a result of a significant amount of destruction of members of the Defias Brotherhood and malfunctioning harvesters, Pyt has entered her 14th season and gained some significant destructive abilities. Pytheas provided a large amount of linen cloth, which enabled Pyt to perform enough Tailoring tasks to reach a skill ranking of 90.
On the Wool front, there is still a very frustrating shortage. Hopefully this will be remedied shortly by an exploration into the southerly portion of Westfall, wherein reside large numbers of Defias Brotherhood members thoughtful enough to carry wool with them at all times.

Thirteen and Eighty
Pyt has been piddling around a bit in Elwynn Forest, finishing off some nagging quests and trying to collect a decent amount of wool. It's not easy, let me tell you.
A couple of hours were invested all told, and Pyt is happy to announce that she has reached season 13 and has a skill of 80 in Tailoring, which means she will be able to make 8-slot bags! The only problem is getting enough wool, as it takes nine (9!) wool to make one bag. There are three members in the party, so that means (9 wool x 3 members x 4 bags) 108 wool must be gathered in order to make 8-slot bags for everyone.
On the plus side, Pyt should gain 12 skill points in Tailoring in the process.

Season 12
Pyt is now in season 12, having spent a little time running around performing odd jobs for various VIPs. Her tailoring skill is nearly up to 80 as well, due to spending a significant amount of coin in the purchase of Linen Cloth from a passing stranger. The quality was good, however, and much sewing was done.
Now if you'll excuse me, I must go and tweak my UI.

More members
We have now successfully recruited Orpheus Sail into our little merry band of adventurers. I have extended an invitation to him to blog.
As our newest member is a complete newbie to MMORPGs, we have started afresh with characters in the hopes of having a balanced party. Those members are:
Pytheas, Male Human Warrior
Tyrassa, Female Night Elf Priest
Pyt, Female Human Mage
Each of us are now level 11, although I think I should probably say Season 11, since this is apparently the RPC (Role-play correct) term.
We tried running the Hogger quest last night but were slaughtered due to some bad judgements by us and by other players in the area. No doubt we shall try again tonight.

We tried running the Hogger quest last night but were slaughtered due to some bad judgements by us and by other players in the area. No doubt we shall try again tonight.
